Class Trip Update

Hi there parents,

This is a confirmation of our trip to Vanco Farms tomorrow morning.

Yes we will be going as planned.

Mrs. Squires and I are very excited to take the children on an outing outside of school.

Thank you everyone who was able to arrange to come with us.

We sure couldn’t do it with out you!

For those who are not able to come, I will do my best to take pictures to capture our special day.

Please pack a snack and lunch for your child ( and yourself also if you are driving with us).

Bring your child to school at 8:45 am as usual.

You can at this point if you wish, purchase a Tim Horton’s or a Robin’s scrip card (sold at the entrance to the school) and go for a coffee until 10:15 ish.

(You are welcome to stay in the class with us too if you like.)

Kindergarten will be the first class to have Spring Pictures taken at 9:00 am.

After that, we will have our snack and washroom break before we get our things together to leave for our trip around 10:15 – 10:30 ish.

Dress for the weather everyone!

Good news!  We can purchase a bundle of Tulips (10) for $7.50 if we want to bring some home with us.

After our trip to Vanco, we will go to Willem deBoer’s house to enjoy our bagged lunches and play time.

Willem’s mom Heather, will spend some time talking  with the children about The Netherlands.

I look forward to that too !

I’ll see you in the morning everyone.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Laura Perry

Hello Everyone!

I hope you have all had a nice weekend with your families.

We had a good weekend in the Perry household.  We Perry’s are getting ”Spring Fever” and look forward to camping season.

In Social Studies, Miss Amy, Miss Sarah & Miss Emily have led us to Mexico, Peru, The Netherlands and England. I wonder where we will travel to next?

The children have been learning Psalm 23, The Lord’s Prayer, addition families 1 – 5, and “special sounds” in phonics class.

I have heard from some kindergarten families regarding having Ooka Island as a home addition for their children.  If you have not spoken to me as yet, and would like to have Ooka for your child, please let me know this week so I can inform the generous people of Ooka.  They will prepare it for you.

I will let you know when we can go to the computer lab for Ooka Island this week.  Stay tooned…

Things to watch for this week include:

Monday: Our school will have a visit from the new Easter Seals representative.

Please have your child return their library books today.

Tuesday: Music with Mrs. Devrise

Wednesday: Chapel for the whole Kindergarten class! Please have your child use the washroom before coming today. Thank you.

Library time this afternoon with Mrs. H.

We will enjoy craft time together this week in our own class.

Please have permission slips for Vanco Farms returned today so we can make driving arrangements.  Thank you everyone.

Thursday: Gym with Mrs. Laird

The grade 5 & 6 class will have a bake sale to raise money for the highschool mission trip to Jamaica.  The money will go to purchase craft supplies for Teachers and children in Jamaica.

If you would like your child to have a treat from the bake sale, please send in .50 -$1.00 in an envelope or a ”zip bag” marked with your child’s name on it, the amount of money inside and what the money is for.  Money sent in unmarked can get mixed up with milk money or hot dog money etc.  if not properly labled.

Friday: Spring pictures to be taken at 9:00am. After the pictures are taken we will have our snack, use the washroom and then leave for Mount Albion to go to Vanco Farms.

We will not have show and tell today.

See you soon.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Laura Perry
